How Individual Therapy Works
Understanding how therapy works from your perspective is key to making this journey as beneficial as possible for you. It allows you to feel more comfortable and in control, knowing what to expect in each session and how it contributes to your well-being. You’ll have the opportunity to explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe, supportive environment, guided by a compassionate therapist.
Initial Sessions
The initial case work-up will be conducted, typically spanning 3 to 5 sessions, contingent upon the specific concerns raised. The duration may vary based on the nature of the issues at hand. The therapist will gather information and assess the situation during this phase.

The Assessments
Assessments aligned with your concerns will follow, requiring approximately 10-15 sessions. The pace and quantity of sessions are tailored to your comfort and efficiency in completing assessments, viewed as a lifelong investment. This phase necessitates online sessions through a laptop, ensuring convenience and accessibility for the client.
Exploration and Goal Setting
Upon completion of the assessments, the therapist will share the results and diagnoses with the client. Together, the therapist and client will collaboratively establish goals to address the identified concerns. This step ensures that the client is actively involved in the therapeutic process and goal-setting.

The Intervention Phase
The intervention phase begins, focusing on the agreed-upon goals and diagnoses. During this stage, the therapist will employ various techniques and strategies to help the client work towards their objectives. The duration and intensity of this phase may vary depending on the client’s progress and needs.
Consolidation and Transition
The final phase involves assessing the effectiveness of the therapy, implementing relapse prevention strategies, and concluding the therapeutic process. This step ensures that the client is well-equipped to maintain their progress and cope with potential challenges in the future. The therapist will provide ongoing support and resources as needed.
